Detoxification known as detox for short is a process which aims at getting rid of toxins from the body of a human being which is generally initiated by the liver. In simple terminology, it is the withdrawal from addictive substances like alcohol or drugs but can also be applied to withdrawal from food items loaded with preservatives or sugar. It is a concept which has caught on like wild-fire globally and the benefits of detox are supported by scientific evidence. Celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow swear by detoxification.

Detoxification is a process which all people should imbibe in their lives due to growing pollution and unhealthy lifestyles. Detox also comes with a variety of benefits which are listed below:

The most obvious reason is that a detoxification process eliminates toxins which include preservatives, pesticides, pollutants which have been stored in your body for long and affects the basic metabolism rate and immune system.
